Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information Lucky Meteor ("we", "us") uses when you visit luckymeteor.ie or buy a reading, and your rights under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
In short: your reading is calculated in your own web browser. We don't ask you to create an account, and we don't store your name or birth details on our server.
1. Your birth details
The name, date, time and place of birth you enter are used only in your browser to calculate your reading. They are not sent to or saved on our server, and they disappear when you close or refresh the page.
2. Town of birth lookup
To find the map position and time zone of your birthplace, the town name you type (and your chosen country) is sent to Open-Meteo, a free geocoding service. Only the place name is sent, never your name or date of birth.
3. Payments
Payments are handled by Stripe. When you pay, Stripe collects your payment details, email address and related information to process the payment and prevent fraud, under its own privacy policy. We receive confirmation of the payment, but never your full card details.
4. Website fonts and server logs
The site loads its fonts from Google Fonts, so your browser connects to Google, which receives your IP address. Like most websites, our server keeps standard technical logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested and time). These are used only for security and to keep the site running, and are deleted routinely.
5. Cookies
We don't use advertising or tracking cookies, and we don't use analytics. Stripe may use cookies on its payment pages for security and fraud prevention.
6. Emails to us
If you email us, we use your email address and message only to reply and help you, and keep them only as long as needed for that and for our records.
7. Legal basis
We process information to provide the reading you ask for and to take payment (performance of a contract), to keep the site secure (legitimate interests), and to meet legal obligations such as keeping payment records.
8. Your rights
You have the right to access, correct or delete personal information we hold about you, to object to or restrict its use, and to data portability. To use any of these rights, email mercury@luckymeteor.ie. You can also complain to the Data Protection Commission in Ireland at dataprotection.ie.

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version is always on this page.
